SAANVI'SPOV

I was in the room , dancing on ' Ghar more pardesiya'  .

Today , it was an off from college ,so , i planned to practice dance since , there is a  dance competition in our college  next week.

I was wearing white anarkali .

I was performing chakras when i heard the door bell.

I smiled as i thought my food delivery is finally here .

I run to the door and opened only to get shock.

There stood my ansh with his all family.

Ekansh: swagaat nhi krengi aap humara?

I nodded and touched elders' feet and seek their blessings and asked them to come inside.

I was walking behind them all with a pout as my food hasnt been delivered till now ( its beeen 10  minutes since i placed my order)

I heard his father saying " kya hua beta ? tumhe aachaa nhi laga ki hum sab aaye?"

I shook my head and said " nhi uncle aesa nhi h , voh actually meri food delivery abhie tk nhi aayi " and removed the speakers from which the song was still playing .

Saanvi: give me 5 minutes , i will be back.

Pallavi : okay baachaa

I went to my room and removed my ghungroos and corrected my hairs and went to the kitchen directly and made tea for everyone except chachu and uncle .

I made black tea for them and coffee for aadhya and ishaan while black coffee for ekansh.

I then keep all the drinks in a tray and went to the living room and served them to everyone.

I could feel ansh's gaze on me from the moment , he entered.

Jairaj : Saanvi ,tum dance krti ho ?

Saanvi: jii uncle , i am a classical dance. I was just practicing as i have a dance competition in my college next week.

Tara : thats great , beta , aur kya krti ho?

Saanvi: i am studying psychology,chachi .

Aadhya : Bhabhi ,coffee is yumm

I smiled and said " aadhya , i told u to not call me bhabhi .. i am not your brother's wife."

Pallavi :Wait , thats means you dont know why we are here?

Saanvi: uncle told me that he will bring his family to meet me .

Jairaj: beta , i am here to ask for your hand for marriage with my son.

I was shocked would be an understatement.

I look at ekansh for any reaction but his face was expressionless.

The door bell rang.

I went and took the food and paid.

I came inside and said " Uncle , I cant marry your son"

Jairaj: can we talk for a moment  alone?

I nodded reluctantly and took him to my room.

Jairaj: Saanvi, cut your act.

I frowned and said "  I am sorry .. I dont understand what u are saying ,uncle"

He took his seat on the couch and said " Saanvi or should i say Saanvi Malhotra ?"

I gulped and said " I am Saanvi ..I dont know any Saanvi Malhotra"

Jairaj: I know your little secret , saanvi .

Marry my son else i will reveal your secret to everyone.

Saanvi: Sure go ahead uncle , where are the proofs ? No one is going to believe you without proofs afterall apka beta itne saalo se mujhe dhundh rha h but abhie tk nhi dhundh paaya and i also know about your strained relation with your son  cause he believes you are the reason i left.

Jairaj : Iska matlab tum maanti toh ho ki tum apne ansh ki ava ho

I smiled and said " sirf aur sirf apne ansh ki "

Jairaj: marry him or i will send this recording to your ansh.

I look at the phone in his hands.

Jairaj : U were right  i didnt have any proofs. But i was suspicious of you as I heard u refer ekansh as ansh and your allergies and the teddy , and aaj tumne khud hi sab accept krliya.

Saanvi: Delete this recording and i will marry him ..But this should remain between us.

Jairaj : U have my words.

He then deleted the recording .

I then went outside and annouced that i am ready for marriage.

Pallavi : tum orphan hona ?

Saanvi : jii aunty .

Soon , i heard a voice " chal jhoothi " and look at door and there stood Aisha .

She entered and said " Namaste aunty ,Saanvi is not orphan. She have me and my family is her family as well."

I look at her and corrected my sentence  with a smile "nhi aunty ,I cant be orphan until i have my bestfriend."

Aisha smiled and asked " Saanvi , who are they ?"

Jairaj : We are here to ask her for marriage.

She look at me and then at them and said "You guys can leave , meri bestfriend bholi ik but iska matlab yeh nhi aap iske bholepan ka fayda uthaye.. She is not marrying your son."

Jairaj : But she agreed to marry

She look at me and i whispered into her ears " He knows the secret"

Aisha held my hand and took me to my room and said" main hu naa.. sambhal lungi..kyu tu firse apni zindagi barbaad krne jaa rhi h"

Saanvi: But i missed my ansh , aisha....I promise agar iss baar he does something , i will pakka inform you and leave him.

Aisha: fine , just dont make these puppy eyes

I giggled and we went out.

Aisha: Uncle , roka  Sharma Mansion me hoga .

Pallavi: Aur shaadi Humari purani haveli me .

Saanvi : I have  a condition.

Jairaj: kya beta?

Saanvi: Ekansh will  be participate in every function . 

Ekansh:I will only attend the wedding , saanvi...jyaada expectation mat rakho

Pallavi : He will be there.

I smiled and we all talked and after sometime , they all left.

I laid down on my bed and mumbled " kanha jii , yeh kyaa ho rha h? Aap yeh kya kr rhe h ?"

I slept cuddling the teddy.
